«Striking Beard Over Xerox», 1994

As previously reported, in the 1990s the artist Shabourov was able to work as an art editor of 20 newspapers and magazines. And that most of them were just a few numbers. You can list them all here for memory: «20 copéeks», «CLIP (Culture, literature, art, politics), „Eleantarno, Watson!“, „The Night Quarter“, „Trust“, „Mativity Detective“, „Pucitina“, „Mansi-maa“, „Republic“, „Love and Business“, „Study“, „Major Prospect“, „Industry“, „Industry Alliance“, „New Chronicle“, „The People’s Chosen“, „The Transformation of Ural“, „Ural“, „Labyrent-Excenter“, „The Black Journal“, „Eternal Memory“. Some of them are still coming out, and every Shabour has been trying to come up with some kind of interesting project. But Shabourov liked most of all the newspaper „The Main Prospection“, where he had a copy machine on which to print all kinds of samazat books. Shabourov once cut his beard and, like an ancient Chineseman, noticed how a bizarre pattern fell into the sink with hair-cuts, then repeated the same thing over the copy machine and threw the resulting notes into the book „Striking Beard Over Xerox“.
