From April 27 to May 10, the Bomba Gallery hosted a graduation exhibition of students of the bachelor’s degree program «Contemporary Art» called «Waiting Rooms». A total of 8 artists took part in it.

The works were united with each other under the single theme of understanding time through the study of various time periods. The artists studied all directions of time accessible to human consciousness — past, present and future — and invite visitors to build connections and influences between the results of these studies.

The topics explored by the students included: analyzing the significance of ruins, documenting personal histories, understanding dreams and everyday reality, as well as «dark ecology» and chance.
The projects were mostly presented in the form of multimedia installations and offered interactivity, and some did not leave visitors empty-handed: they could study important objects and stories of the past, look nightmares in the eye, receive a message from a flower, and assemble a hybrid doll.
The choice of exhibition space is also important. The Bomb Gallery is a former bomb shelter, which symbolically complements the theme of time. It concentrates the history and fears of the past, while again proving relevant, given the uncertainty of the present and future. Reflection on the interconnectedness of time zones becomes the main theme of the exhibition, and everyone is invited to discuss it.

As part of the exhibition, two performances by Evgenia Nikolskaya were held on the creation of stones from clay. The performance continues her work, which explores the area of the abandoned Saburovskaya fortress and rethinks the significance of ruins in the lives of present and future generations.
