Finalist of the competition

When I started working on the PORTA collection, it was important to me not just to create beautiful objects, but to make people fall in love with them — both clients and future owners. I was searching for a form that would embody light, air, and a sense of perspective — as if you’re not just looking at the furniture, but through it, like through an arch in an Italian facade.

The idea came from observing architecture: arched openings, windows, rhythmic stone facades. As I sketched by hand, everything kept returning to one form — the arch.

The arch is softness, strength, and direction. A shape that both supports and invites.

I thought a lot about how to make the form not just beautiful, but also pleasant to the touch — something you’d want to reach out and feel. Rounded edges turned out to be the perfect solution — for their tactility, their safety, and the natural rhythm they bring to the shape.

PORTA Console — the signature piece of the collection.

Its silhouette is simple yet expressive: arched legs, a refined shelf, and precise geometry. It serves as an architectural accent within the interior.

A coffee table joined the collection — more compact, yet crafted with the same attention to detail. A low shelf, soft curves, and wood that invites touch.

The PORTA dining tables are all about scale and presence. Pictured here is the six-person model — almost monumental, with its signature arched supports.

We carefully refined the construction to keep the table visually light yet structurally solid. Other sizes are also available for more intimate spaces

One of the key engineering details is a hidden metal insert inside the tabletop that prevents any wobbling. Thanks to this solution, even the largest table remains perfectly stable.

And I’m still amazed at how quickly everything came together — the first prototypes were ready at Stroganov Studio in just two weeks.

We used solid oak and oak veneer — materials that highlight the form without stealing the spotlight. I love photographing wood textures, and oak is probably my favorite: versatile, warm, and full of life.

Every joint in this furniture is assembled by hand, every edge carefully sanded — to create a seamless, perfectly balanced experience.

For the presentation, I decided to place the console in its «natural habitat» — right on the rocks, surrounded by foliage. It turned out almost like an installation: as if the piece had grown out of nature itself — from stone, from light.

PORTA is more than just a furniture collection. It’s a mood, a space that unfolds.

I’m currently working on dining chairs and accessories to expand the series. I want the collection to live and evolve — to become a complete interior story, not loud, but deeply felt.
