Misanthropy of nature
A person is trying to find some quiet place to get rid of harrowing emotions and memories at least for a second. Water becomes this calm place — it is underwater where a person does not hear anything and to some extent can feel safety and weightlessness. The second part of the video is the personification of just those terrible memories that a person is so desperately trying to get rid of. And in the end, darkness still takes away a pure soul.
