A series of illustrations based on childhood memories. Stories about adult family members who shaped me. In the images, reality gets sometimes mixed with children’s fantasy. Elements of the collage regarding the clothing of the characters depict my associations with each family member. Materials — oil pastels, collage, digital processing.

January. Dad and I are skiing. I’m too lazy to move on my own, so I roll holding his sticks.
February. Winter game with Grandma L and Grandpa L — digging tunnels in snowdrifts and shovelling away the snow.
March. Grandma L covers me with a blanket in a room full of indoor plants.
April. The most interesting game with Grandma N. Pretending being the little mermaid and the prince!
May. Grandma L often knitted huge socks for me — the floor in her house is always cold.
June. Game with Grandpa L. He rolled me on his back like a tiger, and I imagined that the house was a jungle.
July. Bathing with Grandpa V. in the holy spring in Diveyevo.
August. A trip to the sea with my parents. A stop in a field of sunflowers, which seemed huge to me as a child, for a picnic.
September. A windy evening with my parents at the dacha in Tver.
October. A vivid negative memory — a ban on objections (equated to impudence).
November. The candlesticks in the church where my Mum took me seemed large.
December. Visiting Grandma N. and Grandpa V. Grandma baked pies in which she hid coins for me.
